Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the retropubic tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) and transobturator tension-free vaginal tape (TVT-O) treatment of female stress urinary incontinence and its effect on quality of life of patients.[Methods] 149 patients with female stress urinary incontinence treated with TVT surgery (70 cases) and TVT-O technique (79 cases) were selected and Grouts-Blaivas score method was used to evaluate treatment effect.Patients were followed up for 12 months, referring ‘urinary incontinence quality of life questionnaire' to understand the quality of life after surgery.[Results] Both operations were successful in all patients.Mental health, physical health, social status were significantly improved (P﹤0.01).Family life was also significantly improved (P﹤0.05), and patient quality of life was improved significantly.[Conclusion] The surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence is effective.Patient health status and quality of life are improved significantly.TVT-O is easier to operate than TVT.
