Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of tension-free vaginal tape-obturator technique ( TVT-O) for female stress urinary incontinence. Methods 62 patients with moderate and severe stress urinary incontinence underwent operation of TVT-O from 2008 to 2010,and were followed up for 5 to 25 months. The results were analyzed according to the Grouts-Blaivas outcome score. Results TVT-O had favorable results in all 62 patients without any operative failure or severe complication. During follow-up,the cure rate was 93% ( 58 / 62) ,the other 4 cases got improved also. Conclusions TVT-O is easy to operate with few complications, high cure rate of short time and improvement of quality of life.
