A study of induction callus with different organs of Euphorbia pulcherrima Willd

The callus were inducted on MS medium with leaves,petioles,dormant buds,apical buds,stems as explants respectively.The results indicated that the leaves,stems of testtube plant is the best among explants mentioned above.The induction rates of callus from leaves and stems of testtube plants and of old plants were 100%,95% respectively,with the former being obviously better than the latter,but the rates of callus from petiole carried no significance for either,it is 10%.However,there were no callus induction from such explants as dormant bud and apical bud.
