Abstract

The Inflorescence axis of different varieties Euphorbia pulcherrima were used as explants to induce callus proliferation. The explants were cultured on agar MS basal media supplemented with different kinds and different concentrations of hormones to induce and regulate callus growing. The results indicated that different varieties respond to various medium differently, that the callus inducing rate of same variety had many differences when explants were cultured on the different media. Therefore, the media were selected which were suitable for each variety inducing callus.
