Analysis on quality of tested hybrid rice varieties in Guizhou regional tests during 2004 to 2008.

Abstract
The results from analyzing main quality characters of 103 tested indica hybrid rice varieties in Guizhou regional tests during 2004 to 2008 indicated that the rice quality breeding has made considerable progress in Guizhou.The hulled rice rate,amylase content,gel consistency and chalkiness degree of about 90% tested varieties meet the standard and the length/ width ratio of about 60% tested rice varieties meets the standard.The head rice rate and chalkiness rice rate of about 50% tested rice varieties meet the standard,which shows that the improvement of head rice and chalkiness rice rate should be paid more attention to in hybrid rice breeding in Guizhou.
