Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to know more about the grain quality status of early rice varieties(combinations) in Guangxi in recent years.[Method] With 10 newly combined early indica hybrid rice combinations which were extended and utilized in large area, the grain quality traits of early indica three-line hybrid rice were studied.[Result] The standardized rates of protein content and polished rice length of tested combinations were highest and that of polished rice rate, head rice rate and chalkiness characters were 0.Most of quality characters of tested combinations performed generally and none of the combinations could reach the criterion of second-class rice issued by the Chinese Agriculture Ministry on all the quality indices.[Conclusion] The research supply theoretical basis for breeding new rice varieties(combinations) with high yield and good quality and provide references for making the most of present rice varieties(combinations) in agricultural production.
