Observation on the curative effects of vinpocetine in patients with acute cerebral infarction

OBJECTIVE To study the clinical curative effects of vinpocetine in patients with acute cerebral infarction.METHODS A total of 91 patients with acute cerebral infarction were enrolled into this study in our hospital.All the subjects were randomly divided into two groups by the means of double-blind method: the control group(n = 45) and the observed group(n = 46).The patients of the control group were given with troxerutin treatment.And the patients of the observed group were given with vinpocetine treatment.The following parameters of the two groups before and after treatment were compared and analyzed: the daily life activities ability score,the nerve function defect grades,ESR,the erythrocyte rigidity index and the blood's viscosity.RESULTS Compared with those patients before treatment,the daily life activities ability scores of the two groups were significantly higher,and the nerve function defect grades,ESR,and the blood's viscosity were significantly lower.Compared with the patients of the control group,the daily life activities ability scores and the erythrocyte rigidity index of the observed group were significantly higher,and the nerve function defect grades,ESR,and the blood's viscosity were significantly lower.CONCLUSION For the patients with acute cerebral infarction,the vinpocetine treatment can significantly improve the daily life activities ability scores,the nerve function defect grades,ESR,the erythrocyte rigidity index and the blood's viscosity.So it deserves its widely use in clinical decisions.
