Abstract
[Objective] To determine the influence of anemia during pregnancy on the delivery outcome.[Methods] 321 pregnant women with anemia were collected as study group and 175 normal pregnant women were randomly selected as the control.Pregnancy-induced hypertension, antepartum hemorrhage, postpartum hemorrhage, premature delivery, the incidence of premature rupture of membranes, average gestational age,and average birth weight were compared between the 2 groups.[Results] In the anemia group,pregnancy-induced hypertension, postpartum hemorrhage, premature delivery, premature rupture of membranes were significantly higher(P﹤0.05),and the anemia levels were positively correlated with pregnancy-induced hypertension, postpartum hemorrhage(P﹤0.05),and negatively correlated with the average gestational age(P﹤0.05).Average birth weight had no significant difference(P﹥0.05),but for severe anemia pregnant women, the average birth rate was significantly different compared with that of the control group(P﹤0.05).[Conclusion] The incidence of complications increases in pregnant women with anemia, especially with the severe anemia and it is a serious threat to the pregnant women and newborns.
