67 Cases Suffered from Erysipelas on Lower legs Cured by Means of Integration of TCM and WM

Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of two kinds of methods on erysipelas on lower legs.Methods 67 cases were arranged to two groups. Treatment group (n=39) were treated with percussopunctator and cupping glass jar. Control group (n=28) were administrated ichthyol external application. In addition, the two groups were treated with penicillin. Results Curative rate in treatment group for one week was 58.97%, overall effective rate was 94.87%, and the recurrent rate in one year was 10.71%.The efficacy in treatment group was superior to that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion The combination of penicillin and percussopunctator plus cupping jar is effective for the treatment of erysipelas on Lower legs and prevention of recurrence.
