Recurrence of Chronic Sinusitis after Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Abstract

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a relatively new surgical procedure that was introduced in the late 1970's. But for some patients, functional endoscopic sinus surgery fails to relieve persistent chronic sinusitis. The objective of this study is to evaluate the recurrence rate of patients with chronic sinusitis who was underwent endoscopic sinus surgery and to define characteristics of patients requiring revision endoscopic sinus surgery.
