Abstract
A free-running multivibrator is often used for pulse frequency modulation, as required for voice communication system using pulsed GaAs laser diode. Whereas in conventional circuits, the variation in frequency with input voltage is not linear, the circuit reported has shown excellent linearity of the output frequency with input voltage of the multivibrator. The circuit can also be put to many other applications.
