Abstract

The 21st century is an era of rapid development of science and technology. As a product of technological development, the Internet has been integrated into every corner of Chinese college life. At the same time, the way Chinese universities obtain information has also undergone great changes. Traditional media has gradually been caught up and surpassed by new media, and people's access to information has gradually evolved toward new media. From the perspective of learning, the learning style of college students has also been affected by the rapid rise of new media. Taking college English teaching as an example, this paper will combine the problems in college English teaching under the new media environment, briefly discuss the causes of the problems and put forward some suggestions on improving the efficiency of English teaching.
