Clinical study on acupuncture at Sanyinjiao and Yinlingquan acupoints for the treatment of afterpains of cesarean section

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at Sanyinjiao and Yinlingquan acupoints in the treatment of afterpains of cesarean section. Methods Ninety cases of second-born women who gave birth in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were divided into two groups with the random number table method, 45 cases in each group. The control group was given anti-inflammatory and promoting uterine contraction treatment without analgesic intervention, and the observation group was given acupuncture at Sanyinjiao and Yinlingquan acupoints on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, pain occurrence, and pain score of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 86.67%, which was higher than 40.00% of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The number of pain episodes in the observation group was (1.51±0.42) times/d, and the duration of pain was (23.46±8.67) min/time, which were less than those in the control group [(2.49±0.57) times/d, (51.04±12.92) min/time], with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The VAS score of the observation group was (7.49±0.42) points at postpartum 2 h, (5.03±0.61) points at postpartum 24 h, and (4.15±0.60) points at postpartum 48 h, which were lower than those of the control group [(8.76±0.58), (7.92±0.69), (7.14±0.63) points], with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusions Acupuncture at Sanyinjiao and Yinlingquan acupoints has good clinical effects in the treatment of afterpains of cesarean section of second fetus. The number of pain episodes is significantly reduced, the duration of pain is shortened, and the degree of pain is reduced, which can promote postpartum recovery, and is worthy of popularization and application.
