Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and side effects of duloxetine in treatment of general anxiety disorder.Methods 52 patients were randomly assigned to therapeutic group(n=27)and control group(n=25)for 6 weeks.Therapeutic group were give.duloxetine and control group were given amitriptyline.The clinical effect was assessed with HAMA.CGI and side effects were assessed by TESS.Results Both drugs showed similar efficacy in the treatment of general anxiety disorder.Duloxetine had less and slighter side effects.Conclusion Duloxetine is a safe and efficient drug in the treatment of general anxiety disorder.
