Comments on outpatient clinic prescription in a hospital

[Objective]To understand the outpatient service quality and drug prescription writing quality in our hospital,in order to improve our prescription quality and promote the prescription rational drug use.[Methods]4900pieces (about 2％) were randomly selected from 244 607 outpatient prescriptions in our hospital from January 2011 to November 2011,with reference to the relevant books and literature drugs,combined with the prescription management procedures,and the hospital prescription comment on standard management (try out),a retrospective analysis was carried out to study the prescription medication and writing status.[Results]Among the 4900 prescriptions,294 (6％) ones were found using the drug trade name,274 (5.6％) found with former record not to regulate prescription,126 (2.6％) using more than 5 kinds of prescription,reason for exceeding 7 days of dosage was not stated in 98 (2％) prescription,9 (0.2％) using common prescription taking place of other prescription.[Conclusion]Our prescription management should be strengthened,prescription standardization writing must be focused,so as to reduce the occurrence of rational drug use.
