Clinical observation of therapeutic effects with irbesartan and breviscapine on diabetic nephropa thy

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of irbesartan and breviscapine on diabetic nephropathy.Methords 70 patients with diabetic nephropathy were divided randomly into two groups.The experimental group (n=36) were treated with irbesartan and breviscapine,and the control group(n=34)were treated with compound Dartshen injection.The contents of urinary protein,NAG,renal and serum potassium were tested,and difference between experimental group and control group were compared.Results The uses of irbesartan combined with breviscapine reduced urinary albumin excretion rate significantly(P<0.01)and improved the blood hypercoagulable state(P<O.05).Conclusions Combination of irbesartan and breviscapine is effective in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.
