Abstract

Objective To investigate the epidemiology of clinical isolated Candida and their etiology resistance. Methods All strains of etiological Candida isolated from the inpatients of the hospital in the recent two years were collected. The susceptibility of usual antifungal drugs was analyzed. Results 585 and 1030 strains of Candida were isolated in the two years, the rate was 11.76%and 16.21%respectively.Candida albicans was the most common Candida, but Candida tropicalis increased in the second year. Most of the antifungal drugs kept high sensitive to Candida, only 66.7%and 77.1%of Candida kruser was resistant to fluconazole,16.7%and 20.0%was dose-depended sensitive to fluconazole. Conclusions Candida albicans is still the most common Candida in clinic, followed by Candida tropicalis. So fluconazole is suggested to be used in infections caused by Candida albicans or Candida tropicalis, and itraconazole in Candida kruser infection. Key words: Candida; Susceptibility testing; Antifungal drugs
