Effects of tripterygium wilfordii tablets combined with benazepril on patients with chronic nephritis

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of tripterygium wilfordii tablets and benazepril combination therapy in the treatment of patients with chronic nephritis. Methods Eighty patients who underwent diagnosis and treatment for chronic nephritis in Fourth People’s Hospital of Shangqiu from January 2015 to December 2018 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method. Patients in the control group were treated with benazepril therapy, and patients in the observation group were treated with tripterygium wilfordii tablets and benazepril combination therapy. The clinical diagnosis and treatment outcomes of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the clinical cure rate of the observation group was 87.50% (35/40), significantly higher than the 72.50% (29/40) in the control group (P 0.05). The levels of renal function indexes, such as creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, red blood cell count, glomerular filtration rate, 24 h urine protein quantitation, urine β2-microglobulin, and urinary red blood cell count, were improved in both groups after treatment, and the improvement in the observation group was greater than the control group (P 0.05). Conclusions Tripterygium wilfordii tablets and benazepril combination therapy can get good diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes in the treatment of chronic nephritis, which has positive significance for the improvement of clinical manifestation, and can effectively improve the renal function of patients, with higher safety.
