Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of new teaching round mode in clinical nursing teaching. Methods A total of 40 nursing undergraduate students were divided into intervention group and control group from August 2013 to March 2014. The students of intervention group were treated with nursing teaching round mode guided by clinical nursing teaching pathway. The learning effects were evaluated using a self-designed questionnaire after the intervention. Results The scores of consolidating basic knowledge, arousing students′ interest of learning, improving learning ability and oral expression ability in the intervention group are higher than those of control group. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant (t=3.066, 3.681, 2.124, 1.852; P<0.05). Conclusions The nursing teaching round mode guided by clinical nursing teaching pathway with updated teaching content and methods can improve the efficiency and the quality of clinical nursing teaching. Key words: Nursing students; Clinical nursing teaching pathway; Teaching rounds; Teaching quality
