Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of ambroxol hydrochloride in the treatment of chronic bronchitis. Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic bronchitis admitted to our hospital from May, 2017 to May, 2018 were selected, and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, 40 cases for each group. The control group were conventional treated; in addition, the treatment group were treated with ambroxol hydrochloride. The clinical symptom remission time, symptom score, pulmonary function, changes of inflammatory factor levels, blood gas indexes, total therapeutic efficacy, and incidence of adverse reactions were analyzed in the two groups. Results The times for the remission of cough, expectoration, fever, and lung rales were (2.45±1.27) d, (4.51±2.41) d, (2.16±0.53) d, and (4.61±1.85) d in the treatment group, which were lower than those in the control group, with statistical differences (all P 0.05). Conclusion Ambroxol hydrochloride for chronic bronchitis is effective, with controllable side effects, so it is worth being generalized. Key words: Chronic bronchitis; Ambroxol hydrochloride; Symptom score; Lung function; Levels of inflammatory factors; Treatment effect
