The clinical effects of cotaract extraction and intraocular lens implantation in the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma

Objective To observe the clinical evaluation of intraocular lens implantation in the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma.Methods 31 patients (52 eyes) with primary acute angle-closure glaucoma patients with cataract were treated by cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation,followed up for 6 months.Results Vision of all patients were improved after operation.The postoperative visual acuity was ≤0.1 in2 eyes(3.85％),0.2～0.3 in 8 eyes(15.39％),0.4～0.8 in28 eyes(53.85％),≥1.0 in 14 eyes(26.91％) . Follow-up period,the intraoeular pressure(IOP) of 51 eyes(98.08％) were within the normal range,IOP of 1 eye was controlled with 0.25％ timolol eye drops in the normal range.During follow-up the visual field didn't damage.Conclusion The clinical results of intraocular lens implantation in the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma were safety and satisfactory.
