Nursing effect of cataract postoperative patients conducted with Orem self-care mode

Objective To study the application value of Orem self-care mode on cataract postoperative mode. Methods A total of 108 cataract patients received in our hospital from May, 2015 to May, 2016 were used as the objects of study, which were divided into control group and observation group.Health education, mental nursing, daily nursing and other usual nursing were conducted to control group.On the basis of nursing in control group, the nursing of Orem self-care mode was conducted to observation group.The behaviors of following doctor's instruction, nursing effect, anxiety, depressive state, nursing satisfaction and living quality of patients were compared for both groups. Results After operations, the rate of patients in control group insisting on diet therapy and exercise, correct medication, keeping eyes clean, having regular subsequent visit and behaviors of following doctor's instruction was inferior to it of observation group(P<0.05). The effective rate of control group was 68.5%, which was inferior to 87.0% in observation group(P<0.05). After nursing, SAS and SDS scores of patients in both groups were somewhat reduced compared with it before treatment.In addition, the decline degree of it in observation group was superior to control group(P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of patients in control group was 83.3%, which was inferior to 96.3% in observation group.After nursing intervention, the index scores of patients' life quality in control group were significantly inferior to it in observation group(P<0.05). Conclusions After operation, the nursing effect on cataract patients is significant after Orem self-care mode is implemented.It can effectively relieve clinical symptoms, strengthen treatment effect and promote visual recovery.
