Imaging diagnosis of the duplex kidney in children

Objective To investigate the diagnosis value of ultrasound in the duplex kidney and duplication of ureter,which compared with intravenous urography (IVU),computed tomography ureter (CTU) and magnetic resonance urter (MRU) and realize the superior or inferior in those imaging examinations.Methods In 40 cases randomly selected who were confirmed suffering from the duplex kidney by operation,their image results were collected and retrospectively analyzed.Results In those randomly selected patients,the accuracy rate of diagnosis of ultrasound was 80.85％ and the IVU was 73.91％,CTU and MRU was 83.78％ and 100％.Conclusions In the diagnosis of ultrasound in the duplex kidney and duplication of ureter,four kinds of imaging examinations can have complementary advantages and improve the accuracy of diagnosis.And ultrasound is a reliable and accurate method for the diagnosis in clinic.
