Abstract

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects of ulinastatin on seserum levels of proinflammatory eytokines in patients with severe acute panereatitis(SAP). Methods 78 SAP patients were randomized into two groups:a treating group with ulinastatin and a control-treating group. All cases were observed for 7 days. The seserum levels of tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-α),interleukine 6 (IL-6)were measured. Results ①The seserum levels of TNF-α,Il-6 and LPS were significantly higher in SAP patients (P<0.05).②After being treated for one week ,the seserum levels of TNF-αand IL-6 were significantly decreased in ulinastatin treatment group than those in standard treatment group (P<0.05). Conclusion Ulinastatin is beneficial to SAP patients, by redueing proinflammatory cytokines levels in seseum. Key words: Ulinastatin ;  Proinflammatory eytokines;  Severe acute panereatitis
