BiPAP noninvasive ventilation in treating 32 elderly patients with AECOPD

Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical value of the application with BiPAP noninvasive ventilation in elderly patients with AECOPD.Methods Selected 32 elderly AECOPD patients with 7.35＞pH＞7.25 were treated with traditional methods and plus BiPAP noninvasive ventilation.The changes of the clinical manifestation,heart rate(HR),respiratory rate(RR),blood pressure,blood gas analysis were observed before treatment and after 2 hours and 24 hours treatment.Results The clinical manifestation were notably improved and the values of PO2,SaO2,PCO2,HR,RR were more significantly changed to good direction(P＜0.01).Conclusions Using BiPAP noninvasive ventilation in AECOPD patients earlier could acquire satisfied effect.
