Qiliqiangxin capsule in treatment of congestive heart failure

Objective To investigate the efficacy of qiliqiangxin capsule combined with trimetazidine in treating congestive heart failure (CHF).Methods Seventy-eight patients with CHF were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,all patients were given conventional medical treatment.The control group plus service culture trimetazidine,the dose of 20 mg,3 times a day; Experimental group were given qiliqiangxin capsule 1.2 g orally 3 times a day for 12 weeks.The changes of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),left ventricular end of diastolic volume (LVEDV),left ventricular end of systolic volume (LVESV),stroke volume (SV),cardiac output (CO)and cardiac function (NY-HA) were observed.Results The improvements of left ventricular ejection fraction,left ventricular end of diastolic volume,left ventricular end of systolic volume,cardiac output and stroke volume after treatment in the treatment group were significant(P ＜ 0.01 or P ＜ 0.05).The difference of total effective rate between the experimental group(94.7％) and the control group(65.0％) was also significant (P ＜0.01).Side effects were both not found in the two groups.Conclusions The effect of qiliqiangxin capsule combined with trimetazidine in treating congestive heart failure is satisfactory.It has few adverse effects.It is safe and effective for congesitive heart failure.
