The therapeutic effects of Qiliqiangxin capsule in 50 patients with chronic heart failure

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Qiliqiangxin capsule in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods 102 patients with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into two groups,one was the control group(52 cases), the other was the treatment group(50 cases).Both groups were treated with conventional anti heart failure therapy, meanwhile the treatment group was added Qiliqiangxin capsule(4 granules each time,three times a day).All patients' therapeutic course was 8 weeks,then observed the cardiac function and related indexes between the pretreatrnent and post treatment. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group was 91.8%and 76.9%respectively, there was statistical difference between the two groups(P0.05).Compared the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDd),the left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESd),the cardiac output(CO) and brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) between the pretreatment and post treatment group,the differences of these indexes were with statistical significance(P0.01),and LVEF、BNP、6 minutes walking distance,had statistical significance between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Qiliqiangxin capsule combined with conventional medicine could effectively improve cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure.
