Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy techniques for 30 cases of after cataract after operation of senile cataract

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Nd:YAG laser on after cataract of senile cataract.Methods Thirty cases (35 eyes) with senile cataract extraction combined with IOL implantation after cataract were treated by Nd:YAG laser.Examining visual acuity,slit-lamp,fundus,intraocular pressure in 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 months after operation and comparing preoperative best corrected visual acuity with postoperative.Results The best-corrected visual acuity had significant difference after laser treatment (P ＜ 0.05).No case of serious complications had occured.Conclusions Nd:YAG Laser is a safe,effective,simple,economic method for after cataract of senile cataract.
