Abstract
[Objective] To explore the choice of operation methods of ND:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy for the treatment of after lens implant surgery and the prevention of complications. [Methods] The clinical data of 70 after—cataract patients who had undergone ND:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy were analyzed retrospectively. 70 eyes included 35 cases of traumatic cataract and 35 cases of senile cataract. According to varying grades (grade 1, 2, 3), we chose different treatment methods to observe and count all kinds of complications and occurrence rate of 70 eyes after cruciate or can—opened posterior capsulotomy. [Results] After laser operation, the corrected visual acuity of all patients was improved markedly. The main complications was anterior hyaloid membrane rupture in 27.6%,intraocular lens damaged in 15.7% and ocular pressure improved in 5.7%. [Conclusions] ND:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy is a safe and effective method for the treatment of after-cataract. Choosing operation methods properly well understanding and preventing the complications is essential to achieve the desired result.
