Analysis of both depression and anxiety in chronic hepatitis B patients

Objective To investigate the depression and anxiety state in chronic hepatitis B patients,so as to treat the disease effectively.Methods According to questionar and clinical insury,106 cases of chronic hepatitis B patients were selected as hepatitis B group,102 healthy people were also selected as control group.Results The incidence of depression in two groups were 41.51 % and 6.86% ,while the incidence of anxiety were 39.22% and 3.93% .The incidences of both depression and anxiety in hepatitis B group were much higher than that of the control group,there was statistical difference between the two groups (P < 0.01) .Conclusions There are great psychiatric depression and anxiety problems in chronic hepatitis B patients.Clinical doctors should pay much attention to the psychiatric change of these patients in the treatment of hepatitis with antiviral medicine.
