Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of psychological intervention on anxiety and depression emotion and the quality of lives of pationts with ovarian cancer. Methods 86 pitionts with ovarian cancer were randomly divided into intervention group ( n = 43 ) and control group (n = 43) . The psychological intervention was performed on intervention group about 8 weeks, and just the routine therapy and nursing were carried on patients in control group. All the patients were assessed with the QLQ - C30, Zung's self - rating depression scale (SDS) and Zung's self - rating anxiety scale (SAS) before and at the end of psychological intervention. Results At the end of psychological intervention, the quality of life of the intervention group was obviously higher than that of the control group, especially in mood function and cognition function (t = 3.09, 3.29, 2. 86, P < 0. 01 ), but the scores of SAS and SDS of the intervention group were obviously lower than those of the control group (t = 6. 69, 7.40, P < 0. 01 ) . Conclusions Psychological intervention could effectively improve nxiety and depression emotion of patients with ovarian cancer and enhance the quality of lives. Key words: Psychological intervention; Ovarian neoplasms; Anxiety; Depression; Quality of life
