Abstract
Objective To investigate the application value of detection of carbohydrate antigen 153 (CA153), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in the diagnosis of early ovarian cancer. Methods Seventy-five patients with early ovarian cancer were selected as ovarian cancer group, at the same time, 45 patients with benign ovarian disease were selected as benign group, and 45 healthy people with physical examination were selected as control group. The fasting venous blood of three groups were taken to detect the levels of CA153, CA125, CA199 and CEA. The application value of single detection of CA153, CA125, CA199, CEA and joint detection was analyzed. Results The levels of CA153, CA125, CA199, CEA in ovarian cancer group were higher than those in benign group and control group (P 0.05); the specificity, sensitivity, accuracy in joint detection of CA153, CA125, CA199 and CEA were higher than those in single detections of CA153, CA125, CA199, CEA (P<0.05). Conclusions The diagnostic capacities of single detections of CA153, CA125, CA199, CEA for patients with early ovarian cancer are poor, but joint detection could effectively increase sensitivity, specificity and accuracy, which is worthy of clinical promotion. Key words: Early ovarian cancer; Carbohydrate antigen; Carcinoembryonic antigen
