Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of gioblastoma transcriptional factor (Gli1) and its significance in lung adenocarcinoma. Methods Gli1 protein in 40 cases of lung adenocarcinoma tissues and 40 cases of adjacent normal tissues was detected by the immunohistochemical streptavid-in-peroxidase (SP) method. The relationship between the expression of Gli1 protein and clinicopathological features in lung adenocarcinoma was analyzed. Results The positive rate of Gli1 in 40 cases of lung adenocarcinoma was 100%,and that was 0 in the adjacent normal tissues (P <0.01).Gli1 positive expression rate was significantly correlated with degree of differentiation of lung adenocarcinoma and lymph node metastasis (P <0.05),but not with age, gender, tumor size, histological type and TNM stage (P > 0.05).Conclusion Gli1 may play an important role in the progression of lung cancer. Key words: Lung adenocarcinoma; Gioblastoma transcriptional factor protein
