Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of Gli-1 protein in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),and discuss the relationship between the expression and tumor's clinical and pathological characteristics.Methods The expression of Gli-1 protein was detected by immunohistochemical staining(SP) in 65 cases with primary NSCLC and the matched normal lung tissues,and the clinical data were analyzed.Results The positive rate of Gli-1 was 76.92% in NSCLC compared to the paired normal lung tissues(20.00%)with statistical significance(P=0.000);positive rate of Gli-1 correlated with tumor grade,clinical stage and age(P0.05).Conclusion Gli-1 may play a key role in the progression of NSCLC and its protein might serve as an important target for the therapeutic intervention in clinic.
