Clinicopathological characteristics of HER2-positive gastric cancer

Abstract
Objective
To investigate the clinicopathologic characteristics of HER2-positive gastric cancer.
Methods
The clinical data of 58 cases of gastric cancers were collected. HER2 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the clinicopathological features were analyzed.
Results
The expression of HER2 expression was not correlated with the early stage gastric cancer or advanced gastric cancer(P>0.05). The expression of HER2 expression was correlated with Lauren typing and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).
Conclusions
HER2-positive is correlated with lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer, and HER2 positive can be used as an independent prognostic indicator for patients with intestinal type gastric cancer.
