Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical efficiency of small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation and phacoernulsification surgery with intraocular lens im-plantation.Methods All patients were assigned to cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation.Small scleral tunnel incision was performed on 106 eyes of 104 cataracts patients, and phacoemulsification was per-formed on 104 eyes of 91 cases.Results In the small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract surgery group, the vision of the patients (54.72%) was improved to 0.8 or higher on the first day after operation,83.02% on one week after operation.54.72% patients had corneal opacity after operation, and 34.91% had iris injury.In the pbacoemulsification surgery group, the vision of the patients (74.04%) was 0.8 or higher on the first day after operation, 97.11% on one week after uperation.Only 20.19% patients had corneal opacity, and 7.69% had iris injury.There were statistical significance between these two groups (P<0.01).Conclusions The phacoemulsification surgery and intraocular lens implantation can reduce the intraocular trauma for cataract extraction and boost quicker recovery after operation compared to the small incision non-phacoemulsi-fication cataract surgery and intraocular lens implantation.Phacoemulsification is a safer and more effective mode.
