Abstract
Objective To study the effect of nursing intervention for reducing complications after pneumonectomy for lung cancer. Methods A total of 98 patients with lung cancer treated at our hospital from September, 2013 to September, 2015 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, 49 cases for each group. The experimental group were cared with nursing intervention methods and the control group were rouotinely cared. The nursing satisfaction and the incidence of complications were compared between these two groups. Results The nursing satisfaction was higher in the experimental group than in the control group (97.9% vs. 87.5%,P< 0.05). The incidence of complications after surgery was significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusion Nursing intervention can effectively reduce complications after pneumonectomy for patients with lung cancer an increase nursing satisfaction. Key words: Nursing intervention; Complications; Lung cancer
