Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between recurrent respiratory infection(RRI)and mycoplasma pneumonia infection in children. Methods 92 children with RRI were selected as the experiment group and other 92 children with common respiratory infection as the control group. The MPIgM antibody level was determined by particle agglutination method in both groups.Resttlts The positive rate for MP-IgM was 46.74% in RRI group(43 cases)and 13.04% in the control group(12 cases),with significant differences(P < 0.01)Conclusions RRI and mycoplasma pneumonia infection are closely correlated and should be paid more attention to. Key words: Recurrent respiratory infection(RRI); Mycoplasma pneumonia infection; Children
