Effect of preventive nursing on urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery

Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of preventive nursing on urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery,to study nursing measures on reducing urinary retention after cervical cancer operation.Methods 96 patients with cervical cancer were randomly divided into control group and observation group,48 cases in each group.Control group received routine specialist nursing,observation group received preventive nursing on the basis of control group.Compared the recovery of bladder function 1 week after operation of two groups,residual urine volume,urinary retention,HAMD score and HAMA score 2 weeks after operation,urinary tract infection and the average hospital stay time.Results The recovery of bladder function in observation group was better than that in control group (x 2 =4.019,P ＜ 0.05).Residual urine volume,urinary retention,HAMD score and HAMA score 2 weeks after operation in observation group were better than those in control group (t =3.115,x 2 =4.360,t =2.804,t =2.731,P ＜ 0.05).Urinary tract infection and the average hospital stay time in observation group were better than those in control group (x2 =4.703,t =2.913,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Preventive nursing can accelerate the recovery of bladder function after operation and reduce the rate of urinary retention,which should be widely promoted.
