Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the level of serum glucose hemoglobin(HbA1c)and the severity of coronary heart disease. Methods One hundred and eighty-two patients underwent coronary angiography were divided into normal control group,CHD group,single-vessel disease group, double vessel disease group and multivessel disease group, the levels of HbAlc were compared among the groups. Results Serum HbA1c level was significantly higher in patients with coronary heart disease group(P < 0.05).With the increase of the number of coronary lesions,HbAlc concentration gradually increased(P < 0.05).Conclusions Serum HbA1 c levels increased with the increase of the number of coronary lesions, indicating that serum HbA1c levels may be correlated with the severity of coronary heart disease. Key words: Glycated hemoglobin; Coronary heart disease
