Abstract
Objective: To explore the correlation between the level of glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) and the extent of coronary lesions in coronary heart disease. Methods: Three hundred and eighty-seven coronary heart disease patients were included in the study: coronary heart disease group and non coronary heart disease group. The levels of HbA1c of all the patients were analyzed by radio immunoassay. All the patients underwent coronary angiography and the extent of coronary lesions was analyzed by total amount of coronary narrow degree integral(Gensini score). Results: Coronary heart disease group, non coronary heart disease group. The levels of HbA1 c in coronary heart disease group were significantIy higher than those of non coronary heart disease group(P 0. 01). With the increase of coronary artery lesion, the levels of HbA1c in coronary heart disease group increased gradually(P 0. 05). With the increase of Gensini score, the levels of HbA1c in coronary heart disease group were also increased(P 0. 01). Correlation analysis showed that the level of HbA1c was positively correlated with the number of coronary artery disease in coronary heart disease patients(r = 0. 44,P 0. 01),the level of HbA1c was positively correlated with the Gensini score in coronary heart disease patients(r = 0. 46,P 0. 01). Conclusion: The higher level of HbA1c was the independent dangerous factor for coronary heart disease.
