Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of complex trabeculectomy for angle-closure glaucoma. Methods 68 eyes of 63 cases with primary angle-closure glaucoma underwent complex trabeculectomy based on the traditional trabeculectomy combined with anterior chamber paracentesis, mitomycin C and adjustable suture. The follow-up time was three months to one year after surgery. The formation of anterior chamber, visual acuity, filtering bleb, and complications were observed. Results The formation of anterior chamber and the control of intraocular pressure were satisfactory. Conclusion The complex trabeculectomy for angle-closure glaucoma can control intraocular pressure effectively and has effective filtering bleb and less complications. Key words: Trabculectomy, complex;  Glaucoma, angle-close;  Suture, releasable;  Mitomycin C
