Abstract
Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of adjust suture trabeculectomy for angle-closure glaucoma. Methods: Retrospectivly analyzed 42 cases(48eyes) of angle-closure glaucoma, which underwent suture lysisable trabeculectomy, analyzed the IOP, visual acuity, complications and surgery outcome of the groups. Results: No severe complications such as choroidal hemorrhage, intraocular hemorrhage and malignant glaucoma were observed in all cases during surgery and postoperatively. The rate of flat anterior chamber was low,the recent react of high IOP eyes was severer, with the correct deal, the effect of the high IOP eyes as good as the others, one eye lose the vision in 28 eyes which with low vision angle-closure glaucoma during postoperatively. That`s say the suture lysis trabeculectomy was safe, but it has the risk of losing the vision. Conclusion: The suture lysis trabeculectomy for angle-closure glaucoma is safe and effective. To keep the visual function from more damage, trabeculectomy should be performed for these patients with the high IOP or low vision actively.
