B ultrasound - guided minimally percutaneous nephrostomy for treatment of acute renal function failure secondary to ureteral obstruction by metastasis and infiltration of tumor

Objectives To evaluate the role of minimally percutaneous nephrostomy ( mPCN ) in the management of scute postrenai renal failure secondary to ureteral obstruction by metastasis and infiltration of tumor.Methods 28 mini - percutaneous nephrostomy praedures were performed in 14 cases under real - time B ultrasound - guided guidance employing a navigation system.Results The success rate of mPCN was 100％.The puncture procedure was successfully performed in each case.General conditions were improved in 8 cases after insertion of nephrostomy tube:10 cases could continue to gettiug the treatment in the relative department (branch).Conclusions The mini - pereutaneous nephrostomy under real - time ultrasound - guided is achoice or an effective and safe method to treat the post - obstructive renal failure.
