Abstract
Objective To explore the value of percutaneous nephrostomy as an initial treatment for malignant ureteral obstruction caused by pelvic tumor,pelvic metastatic tumor a by ultrasound guidance.Methods 21 cases with malignant ureteral obstruction were subject to Ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrostomy.Results 21 cases were accomplished one time,no serious complications,21 cases were drained smoothly,urinary volume increased significantly,renal function improved with creatinine recovered in 2 to 5 days and nephrohydrops relieved.Conclusions Ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrostomy is a simple and useful initial method for acute obstructive nephropathy,can be regarded as a treatment method for malignant cases,who loss chance of the operation.
