Abstract

Objective To study the effect of soybean lecithin on gelrum lipid level in diabetes mellitus with hyperlipidemia patients. Methods Totally 60 diabetes mellitus with hypedipidemia patients were divided into 2 groups equelly according to the levels of gerum lipid. The study group took capsules with 20 g soybean lecithin every day for 6 weeks, and the control group took the placebo.Their serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyride(TG),and high dendity lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) levels were measured. Results The levels of TC,TG,and HDL-C were not significantly different before therapy between study and control group, while the TC and TG levels of study group 6 weeks after therapy were significantly lower than those in control group and before therapy(P<0.05).Conclusion Soybean lecithin can decrease gerum lipid level in diabetes mellitus with hyperlipidemia patients. Key words: Soybean lecithin; Diabetes mellitus with hyperlipedemia; Serum lipid
