The curative effect of Shugan Jieyu capsules in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal tumor complicating by depression and its effect on the expression of GDNF

Objective To study the curative effect of Shugan Jieyu capsules in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal tumor complicating by depression and its effect on the expression of GDNF. Methods From December 2014 to June 2016, 88 patients with gastrointestinal tumor complicating by depression treated in our hospital were divided into observation group and control group with 44 cases in each group according to the random number table. All patients were given routine chemotherapy treatment. On the basis, the control group was given general symptomatic and supportive treatment, while the observation group was given Shugan Jieyu capsules. Compared the curative effect of the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 86.36% (38/44), significantly higher than 68.18% (30/44) of the control group; HAMD score after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment in the two groups, HAMD score after treatment in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group; the level of GDNF after treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment in the two groups, the level of GDNF after treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group. There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of adverse reactions and the mortality between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Shugan Jieyu capsules have significant curative effect in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal tumor complicating by depression, can significantly improve the symptoms of depression in patients, with certain security, serum level of GDNF may be closely related to the degree of depression in patients.
