Abstract
Objective To compare the therapeutie.effects of corneal limbus stem cells autograft and with amntotic membrane autograft for treating stage pterygium.Methods One hundrand twenty-six cases of 132 eyes were.Randomly divided into Aand B group,In sixty three cases of 68 eyes were stage pterygium resection followed by corneal limbus stem cells autograft in groupA.In sixty three cases of 64 eyes were stage pterygium resection followed by corneal limbus stem cells autograft with amniotic membrane autograft in group B.Results Only 8 eyes recurrent in A group recurrent rate 11.8%,only 3 eyes recurrent in B group recurrent rate 4.7%,There was statistically difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Corneal limbus stem cells autograft with amniotic membrane autograft showed successful in treating active stage pterygium decreased recurrent rate increased visual ability.
