The analysis of corneal limbus stem cells autograft and with amniotic membrane autograft for treating pterygium

Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of corneal limbus stem cells autograft and with amntotic membrane autograft for treating pterygium. Methods One hundrand twenty-six cases of 132 eyes were randomly divided into A and B group,In sixty three cases of 68 eyes were active stage pterygium resection followed by corneal limbus stem cells autograft in groupA.In sixty three cases of 64 eyes were active stage pterygium resection followed by corneal limbus stem cells autograft with amniotic membrane autograft in group B. Results Only 8 eyes recurrent in A group,recurrent rate was 11.76%;3 eyes recurrent in group B,recurrent rate was 4.69%,There was statistically difference. Conclusions Corneal limbus stem cells autograft with amniotic membrane autograft is successful in treating active stage pterygium.
