Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of self-care health education on postoperative rehabilitation process and living quality in patients with cervical cancer surgery. Methods A total of 88 patients with cervical cancer in our hospital from March 2015 to August 2016 received radical surgery of cervical cancer, and they were divided into two groups by nursing ways, 44 cases of each group.Control group was given routine nursing, and on this basis, observation group was given self-care health education intervention. The postoperative hospital stays, evacuation time, postoperative complications, living quality, self-nursing ability, mental status were compared between the two groups. Results The evacuation time and hospital stays in observation group were (51.58±15.23)hours and (12.04±2.57)days, and those in control group were (59.03±16.15)hours and (13.97±3.19)days, with statistical difference (P<0.05). The incidence of incision infection, urinary system infection and urinary retention in observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of physiological function, health condition, role emotional, social function, bodily pain, role physical in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The score of mental status in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of self-care responsibility, self-care concept, health knowledge and self-care skill in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Self-care health education for patients with cervical cancer surgery can effectively improve living quality and mental status, increase self-care ability, accelerate postoperative rehabilitation process, which is worthy of clinical promotion. Key words: Self-care health education; Cervical cancer; Rehabilitation; Living quality
